Zarif discuss JCPOA on phone with Japanese, Norwegian FMs

TEHRAN, May 12 (MNA) – The foreign ministers of Norway held phone conversation with Iranian counterpart Mohammad Javad Zarif on Friday.

During the talks, Norwegian Foreign Minister Ine Marie Eriksen Søreide expressed his countries support for the continued implementation of the Iran nuclear deal.

He also stressed that Iran must be able to reap the benefits of the 2015 agreement.

FM Zarif, for his part, said it is necessary for other parties to the accord to guarantee that the Islamic Republic of Iran can take advantage of the deals benefits.

US President Donald Trump pulled the US out of the landmark nuclear deal with Tehran on Tuesday, moving to re-impose sanctions on Iran and defying pleas from close allies who had called for the agreement to be preserved.
